When it comes to plumbing marketing it is good to get creative and think outside the box sometimes, however we have found that sometimes the simplest approach works the best. In today’s time it seems that things are moving so fast and we try so hard to stay on top of things that sometimes we over complicate things, which in return does not usually pay off. Mostly because its hard to keep our eyes on our goals when we are being distracted with everything that we “should” be doing. In terms of plumbing marketing, you don’t have to get supper fancy and you don’t have to spend a lot of money either. In this three part blog we are discussing plumbing marketing hacks that are budget friendly. Previously we discussed Advertising on Facebook. For the purposes of today’s blog we will be talking about advertising on Bing.

Advertising on Bing

Bing really doesn’t get enough credit. Next to big daddy Google, Bing is often overlooked and it really shouldn’t be. Bing accounts for about 16% of searches and is primarily used in the US. While Google controls the amount of searches being done with about 80%, advertising on Google can be expensive, in fact prices to advertise on Google have gone up 26% since 2012. The Average cost per click for Bing is about $1.07 compared to Google at $1.83. So while Google has more traction, the cost to advertise with them is about 70% more expensive than Bing. From a budget standpoint, if you Bing is a great option. Another great aspect of advertising on Bing is that there is less competition on Bing. Google attracts more advertisers and so Advertising on Bing increases the chances of your ads being seen.

When advertising on Bing it is important to measure your results. Analyze each click and see what is working and what isn’t. You want to campaign to run as efficiently as possible right? So you really need to pay attention to what keywords are driving the most business. If you haven’t tried advertising on Bing yet, but are familiar with Google Adwords, Bing is very similar and in fact makes the process really simple by offering an “import form Google Adwords” button to import your existing ad from Google to Bing.

A great way to shake up your plumbing marketing is to try new things. If you aren’t getting the results you want with your plumbing marketing or are simply looking to shave a few dollars off your plumbing marketing budget, then try running an ad on Bing.
